BISHOP J.E. COLES

Born March 27, 1967 

to the late Edward Coles Jr. & Ruby D. Jones-Coles, he is the eldest of 2 siblings. Bishop J. E. Coles was United in Holy Matrimony onto the late Lady Robin T. Coles and to this union was born 2 sons, Demetrius & Johntay Coles, as well as 8 adopted children; Geneen, Raheen, Shanika, Paul, Brian, Simone, Braya, Alifia Coles. 

 

At an early age he professed hope in the lord and savior Jesus Christ was baptized in Jesus name and became a member of First United Apostolic Church , Chatham, Va under the leadership of the late Bishop Ivanhoe Duncan. After years of being taught how to serve and live a sainted life by the elder apostolic saints he heard the voice of Jesus and he started his own ministry in October of 1991, and named it, Greater United Apostolic Church it serves as a pillar to the community! Bishop Coles & Lady Coles as they were well known throughout the neighborhood and city for being stern and orderly with a generously helpful hand, inviting all saints and sinners to come in the ark of safety. 

On September 3rd 2021, Bishop bowed in humble submission as he bid farewell to his wife of 35 years. On January 26, 2024 Bishop J. E. Coles was united in Holy Matrimony to Lady Cheryl Gunn-Coles

In addition to being the senior pastor of Greater United, Bishop Coles serves as the Bishop & Overseer of Restoration House of Grace (the former First United Apostolic Church) Chatham, VA & the Second Vice Presider of the Victorious Apostolic Churches, INC.
